Langona trifoveolata

Langona trifoveolata (Lessert, 1927) Fig. 30C–E Phlegra trifoveolata Lessert, 1927: 439, fig. 21 (♀); Logunov & Azarkina 2006: 743, figs 76–78 (♀). Langona trifoveolata (Lessert): Hęciak & Prószyński 1983: 211, figs 15, 27, 40 (♀). Material examined. MOZAMBIQUE: Tete: IV.1947, leg. C.F. Roewer, 1♀ (SMF 9929). Description. The female was redescribed by Logunov & Azarkina (2006), but the male remains unknown. General appearance and epigyne as in Fig. 30C–E. Distribution. Previously known from D.R. Congo, this is the first record from Mozambique. Remark. This species can be distinguished from congeners by the epigyne structure, with the median hood split medially to form two pockets (Fig. 30D, E) as opposed to the single pocket seen in congeners, when present.
