LEVEL OF WORK EFFICIENCY OF SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAM ADMINISTRATORS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OPLAN KALUSUGAN IN SCHOOLS DIVISION OF TARLAC PROVINCE: BASIS FOR POLICYMAKING
This research investigated the effectiveness of school health program administrators in executing the Oplan Kalusugan (OK) initiatives, focusing on five key result areas (KRAs): strategic leadership, operational and resource management, prioritization of teaching and learning, personal and professional development, and the cultivation of relationships. Employing a quantitative descriptive correlational design, data were collected from 100 administrators through a structured questionnaire. The analysis revealed considerable variation in work efficiency across all KRAs, indicating a range from Neither Efficient nor Inefficient. Few cases showed significant relationships between administrators’ work efficiency and demographic characteristics such as age, gender, years of service, and educational attainment. Key challenges identified include insufficient funding, delays, inefficient procurement, and inadequate training. Recommendations emphasize targeted interventions to enhance leadership, management, teaching, professional development, and stakeholder engagement. Addressing these issues through increased financial support, streamlined processes, and improved training is essential for effective program implementation. The study provides a basis for developing policies to improve the efficiency of school health program administrators, ultimately enhancing student health and wellbeing in Tarlac Province. Future research should employ mixed methods and larger samples to further explore factors influencing work efficiency.
