STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF PAREMIOLOGICAL UNITS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
This study focuses on the structural and semantic analysis of paremiological units (PUs) in the English and Uzbek languages. Paremiological units, which include proverbs and sayings, serve as linguistic artifacts that encapsulate the cultural, moral, and social values of a community. The research examines the syntactic structure, stylistic devices, and grammatical patterns of PUs in both languages, highlighting similarities and differences. It also delves into their semantic components, exploring literal and figurative meanings, cultural specificity, and universality. This comparative approach aims to identify how PUs reflect the worldview and cultural identity of English and Uzbek-speaking communities, contributing to a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic and cross-cultural dynamics.
