Traffic'Art
The PITCHER project (Erasmus+ Programme, 2021-2024) designed and tested a set of Open Educational Resources focused on improving the capacity of teachers and educators in preparing new learning experiences to support the fight against archaeological looting and illicit trafficking of cultural goods. This educational board game invites young audiences (ages 7-18) to become investigators determined to piece together the story of stolen and then returned cultural property. The goal is to question four "witnesses" to uncover the objects’ history: an archaeologist will reveal their origins, a customs officer will guide players through the networks of illicit cultural property trafficking, a museum curator or auctioneer will explain how they acquired the objects, and a secret witness will help close the case... As the investigation progresses, players will uncover the secrets of illicit trafficking, and the efforts made to protect our cultural heritage.
