IMPACT OF LONG-TERM APPLICATIONS OF ORGANIC AND INORGANICS ON SULPHUR DISTRIBUTION AND ITS FRACTIONATION IN RICE BASED CROPPING SYSTEMS IN CALCAREOUS SOIL
Understanding soil Sulphur (S) dynamics is crucial for enhancingagricultural productivity, particularly in rice-based cropping systems.Nutrient management plays a key role in sustaining the productivity of thiscropping system as both the crops have high nutrient requirement andrespond well to higher levels of nutrient application but there is limitedunderstanding of how long-term combined organic and inorganicapplications affect the distribution and dynamics of sulphur fractions incalcareous soils The influence of long-term application of organic sourcesand inorganic fertilizers on soil S distribution and fractionation in ricecrops remains inadequately understood. This study aims to address thesegaps by investigating the impact of long-term organic and inorganic inputson soil S dynamics.
