DATA VISUALIZATION IN PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENTS: ENHANCING ACCESSIBILITY AND DECISION-MAKING ACROSS INDUSTRIES THROUGH HCI
The use of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles in accessible and effective data visualization designacross professional sectors including healthcare, finance, engineering, and education. It examines how interactivedata visualization software can augment professionals' ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to makebetter decisions. Special attention is given to inclusive design practices that address diverse user requirements, including color blindness considerations, cognitive loading, and interface simplicity. The study emphasizes howminimizing cognitive overload by using intuitive interfaces results in more precise and effective interpretation ofdata. Real-world examples are analyzed to demonstrate the effect of user-centered design in improving workflowproductivity and analytical precision. By incorporating HCI methods into visualization development, this researchpromotes tools that are not only effective but also usable by users with different abilities. Accessibility invisualization is offered as a driver of more balanced technology use across sectors. The paper also elaborates onthe application of user testing in shaping visualization interfaces to facilitate improved usability. Importantobservations into how to maximize the user experience without compromising data integrity are offered. Thestudy concludes by offering best practices for inclusive design that enables improved communication of complexinformation. Practical recommendations to industry players in embracing accessible visualization software arepresented. Directions for future research on furthering HCI-driven visualization technologies are also presented.
