Restauração de falhas em cascata em redes ópticas elásticas utilizando TVG e o algoritmo Dynamic Shortest Path (DSP)

Large-scale disasters can severely impact optical infrastructure with multiple failures, often triggering subsequent disconnections due to cascading effects. This paper presents a novel post-disaster restoration model for Elastic Optical Networks (EONs) that leverages a Time-Varying Graph (TVG) and the Dynamic Shortest Path (DSP) algorithm to restore disrupted connections in cascading-failures scenarios. Furthermore, by using TVG, the proposed algorithm automatically integrates data on potentially related cascading failures into its route selection process. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed model in balancing resource utilization and service reliability when compared to existing strategies.
