Navigating Nanoparticles Limitations: Exploring the Advantages of Lipid-Polymer Hybrid Nanoparticles in Disease Management and Cancer Therapy
Nanoparticles have appeared as key resources in biomedical applications, significantly enhancing drug release and pharmacological effectiveness. However, traditional nanoparticles exhibit critical limitations, including poor stability, potential cytotoxicity, and suboptimal targeting capabilities, which impede their clinical translation. Researchers are developing lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles (LPHNs) to subdue the barriers of traditional nanoparticles. This review reveals the disadvantages of conventional systems and presents LPHNs as a superior alternative, offering enhanced stability, improved drug loading, and targeted delivery.
