Multi-omic signatures relate to the severity of pulmonary outcome in neonates traced into adult disease
Multi-omic signatures relate to the severity of pulmonary outcome in neonates traced into adult disease We present a multi-omics analysis to discover hidden endotypes behind the clinical heterogeneity regarding Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), the most common condition of prematurity. In addition, we present new biomarker candidates of BPD severity in both metabolomics and proteomics, which were detected via ANOVA and t-test and tested their predictive power in combination with clinical variables such as comorbidities and clinical intervention measurements through random forest. Besides, we traced the significant differences in the abundances of detected proteins regarding BPD in adult chronic lung diseases, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease (COPD) and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).
