La Bildung qualitativa. Una possibile applicazione fenomenologica all’evento educativo dell’approccio “olistico-ecologico” di Fuchs

The aim of this paper is to extend Fuchs’ phenomenological approach, which is grounded in the concept of the “embodied mind” and an ecological, holistic understanding of the relationship between the individual and the world, to the educational event. Building on Husserl’s classical phenomenology, we aim to apply this framework to Stein’s Bildung, with the goal of exploring how a holistic-ecological phenomenological pedagogy might be applied and tested in contemporary educational contexts. In this regard, we seek to establish Bildung as autopoiesis, or “self-formation from within”, within the intimate relationship between educator and learner, where the primary actor is the learner themselves. To this end, we propose the use of the Suspensive Observation Notebook as an experimental tool for collecting qualitative data through the “presentation” of each learner in a strictly phenomenological sense. This will allow both the educator and the learner to use the data for the conscious development and unfolding of the learner’s sense of self.
