Evolvement of the architectural environment of Novosibirsk’s historical center on the example of the blocks along Lenin street

The article discusses the main stages in the formation of the architectural environment of Novosibirsk’s historical center. The stylistic and spatial characteristics of buildings pertaining to different periods are described. Using the transformation of individual buildings as a case, the global changes in the concept of the city’s central area formation are considered. The findings can be used in development projects for this area of the city.
