Charlas de Bienestar: Wellness Conversations with Stanford’s Night Shift Workers

Enrique Flores’ human rights capstone formed part of the Charlas de Bienestar, a series of late-night wellness discussions held in Spanish for Stanford’s predominantly immigrant service workers on the night shift. In collaboration with UG2 and a team of two medical students and one undergraduate student, Flores helped lead four Charlas at El Centro Chicano y Latino, covering topics such as stress management, family communication, physical wellness at work, and digital literacy. As a companion to the Charlas, Flores also created a Spanish-language booklet—Una guía sencilla para padres con hijos/as gay—to be distributed to workers as an accessible and culturally sensitive resource on LGBTQ+ acceptance within immigrant and Latinx families. Student project deposited by department for archival purposes. Original work unavailable for public download due to permission restriction preferences of the author.
