IN PARTIAL FULFILLMENT OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEGREE OF MASTERS IN BUSINESS ADMINSTRATION

ABSTRACT Project integration management encompasses the coordination and harmonization of various project elements to achieve unified and cohesive outcomes. Realizing this, the general objective of the study was the effects of project integration management on public road construction project success in case of silte zone some selected woreda by taking active 129 employees from 134 total populations, the study used simple random sampling. The study adopted quantitative approach and used primary data sources. The data collected through standardized Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using both descriptive (mean and standard deviation) as well as inferential statistics (ANOVA, correlation and regression). The study used SPSS V21 statistical tool for analyzing the collected data. The spearman correlation coefficient result at 95% confidence level indicated that there, is a strong positive relationship between the project success and project execution and monitoring, and project implementation, with correlation figures of 0.653, and 0.500, respectively, and weak positive correlation between the project success and project planning, and project controlling with a correlation value of 0.214 and 0.196, respectively. The regression result showed that the independent variables used in the study explain 80.6% variability on project success. The beta coefficients of this study indicated that project planning have a largest effect on project success, followed by project execution and monitoring, project implementation and project controlling. From the study results, the p-value of all the independent variables is below 0.05. This implies that all four independent variables have a significant relationship with the dependent variable project success. Finally, recommendation forwarded as the case organization needs to work on these project integration variables continuously and consistently to complete the project based on prescribed time schedule, cost and quality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Project integration management encompasses the coordination and harmonization of various project elements to achieve unified and cohesive outcomes. Realizing this, the general objective of the study was the effects of project integration management on public road construction project success in case of silte zone some selected woreda by taking active 129 employees from 134 total populations, the study used simple random sampling. The study adopted quantitative approach and used primary data sources.
