Indradhanush Yojana
The Indradhanush Yojana, launched by the Government of India in December 2014, represents a transformative approach to immunization in India. Aimed at immunizing all children under two years and pregnant women against seven vaccine-preventable diseases, the program target regions with the lowest immunization coverage. Employing a phased, multi-dimensional strategy, it emphasizes community engagement, awareness campaigns, and technological integration for effective implementation. This initiative marks a significant collaboration among government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations, addressing vaccine hesitancy and logistical challenges.
