Traduzioni magistrali

Abstract. The section The Theme dedicated to Masterful Translations is the result of a collaboration between ri.tra and the Accademia degli Agiati of Rovereto. It compiles the proceedings of a conference held in November 2023 as part of the activities promoted in connection with the Claudio Groff Prize for Literary Translation from the German. Since its first edition in 2020, the Groff Prize, established in Rovereto by Groff’s brother and the Accademia degli Agiati, has served as a ‘workshop’ for new reflections on the relation between national and translated literature. Following the a conference dedicated to Groff (2020), it hosted a symposium on Manuscript or ‘Submerged’ Translation in European Culture (2021), and finally one on Masterful Translations (2023), which addressed the complex aspect of the ‘mastery’ of certain literary translations that establish and justify their persistence over time. Abstract. La sezione Il tema dedicata alle Traduzioni magistrali è il frutto della collaborazione fra «ri.tra» e l’Accademia degli Agiati di Rovereto. Raccoglie infatti gli atti di una giornata di studio tenutasi nel novembre 2023 nell’ambito delle attività promosse intorno al Premio Groff per la traduzione letteraria dal tedesco. Il Premio Groff, voluto a Rovereto dal fratello di Groff e dall’Accademia degli Agiati, fin dal 2020 anno della prima edizione si è fatto ‘laboratorio’ per nuove riflessioni sul rapporto letteratura nazionale e letteratura tradotta. Dopo la giornata dedicata a Groff (2020), ha ospitato quella su La traduzione manoscritta o ‘sommersa’ nella cultura europea (2021) e infine quella dedicata a Le traduzioni magistrali mitiche sconosciute (2023), che ha affrontato il complesso aspetto della ‘magistralità’ di talune rese traduttive che ne fondano e giustificano la persistenza nel tempo.
