Palladium-Catalyzed\nSynthesis of β‑Alkynyl\nKetones via Selective 1,3-Alkynyl Migration of α,α-Disubstituted\nAllylic Alcohols

Herein, a palladium-catalyzed 1,3-alkynyl migration of\nallylic\nalcohol for the synthesis of β-alkynyl ketone was described.\nThis intramolecular rearrangement reaction demonstrated an enhanced\nreactivity compared to the traditional intermolecular alkynylation\nby circumventing the dimerization of alkynes, exhibiting a specific\nselectivity toward β-alkynyl elimination. Moreover, this reaction\nfeatured wide substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and\n100% atom economy.

Abstract

Herein, a palladium-catalyzed 1,3-alkynyl migration of\nallylic\nalcohol for the synthesis of β-alkynyl ketone was described.\nThis intramolecular rearrangement reaction demonstrated an enhanced\nreactivity compared to the traditional intermolecular alkynylation\nby circumventing the dimerization of alkynes, exhibiting a specific\nselectivity toward β-alkynyl elimination. Moreover, this reaction\nfeatured wide substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and\n100% atom economy.
