19F NMR-Based\nChiral Analysis of Organoboron\nCompounds via Chiral Recognition of Fluorine-Labeled Boronates with\nCobalt Complexes
This study aims to develop a method for the chiral analysis\nof\norganoboron compounds using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.\nIt addresses the longstanding challenge associated with these chiral\norganoboron compounds, which often require derivatization and pretreatment\nprior to chromatographic analysis. Our method utilizes tridentate\nligands to facilitate effective ligand exchange and incorporates fluorine\nlabels, allowing for the precise discrimination of 19F\nNMR signals. This is achieved in conjunction with a chiral cationic\ncobalt complex, serving as the chiral solvating agent. This approach\nprovides reliable and rapid determination of enantiomeric excess in\na wide range of organoboron compounds, featuring various functional\ngroups, and establishes a universal tool for assessing the optical\npurity of these substances.
