Rhodium(III)-Catalyzed\nRegioselective C4 Alkylation\nof Indoles with Nitroalkenes

The Rh(III)-catalyzed indole C4–H bond addition\nto nitroalkenes\nis disclosed under mild and redox-neutral reaction conditions, offering\nstraightforward access to various 4-(2-nitroalkyl)indoles (34 examples)\nwith excellent chemo- and regioselectivity. Furthermore, late-stage\ndiversifications and mechanistic studies were also performed.
