Anti-Markovnikov\nHydroacylation of Aryl Alkenes with\nAldehydes Enabled by Photo/Cobalt Dual Catalysis

Herein we describe a dual photo/cobalt-catalyzed anti-Markovnikov\nhydroacylation of aryl alkenes using aldehyde as acyl source. The\nkey to success is the cobalt catalyzed hydrogen atom transfer, which\nenables effective formation of the desired products and efficient\nregeneration of the photocatalyst under mild conditions. This protocol\nfeatures broad substrate scopes, good functional group tolerance,\nhigh efficiency and regioselectivity.
