Photoinduced\nHydrosilylation of Fluorinated Alkenes

A visible-light-induced synthesis protocol for silylmonofluoroalkanes\nis described. The silylation of alkenyl fluorides using (trimethylsilyl)silanes\nas organosilicon reagents proceeds well under mild conditions via\na sequential photoinduced single-electron transfer and protonation\nprocess. The protocol shows a broad substrate scope, transition-metal-free\nconditions, and high functional group tolerance. A wide variety of\nsilylmonofluoroalkanes were obtained in generally good yields (up\nto 82%).
