Phegea53-3. Vijf soorten prachtkevers (Coleoptera: Buprestidae), nieuw voor de westrand van Brussel
In recent years, five new Buprestidae (Coleoptera) have been found on the west side of Brussels: Agrilus guerini Boisduval & Lacordaire, 1835, A. ater (Linnaeus, 1767), A. laticornis (Illiger, 1803), A. convexicollis Redtenbacher, 1849, and A. sinuatus (Olivier, 1790). Their larvae gnaw galleries in the sapwood of weakened deciduous trees, disrupting the sap flow and ultimately causing the trees to die. A. sinuatus can cause economic damage in fruit culture.
