GRAFFAIN: Mini-Guide
This guide is a concise reference manual for users exploring the modules available within GRAFFAIN, a Python Shiny-based qualitative data analysis and visualization platform. GRAFFAIN is an online, user-friendly, AI-supported platform. Each module in GRAFFAIN leverages pre-trained language models (either few-shot or many-shot) to identify patterns within qualitative data and present these findings numerically and visually. The predictive accuracy of analyses performed with GRAFFAIN may vary based on mismatches between the fine-tuning data of the language model and the user's dataset. Furthermore, GRAFFAIN acknowledges potential errors arising from the limitations of the language models or inherent inconsistencies typical of AI outputs. Thus, the GRAFFAIN development team describes it not purely as an analytical or visualization tool but as an analytical and visualization assistant. Therefore, the responsibility for reviewing outputs ultimately rests with users.
