Investigation of thermodynamics properties for amyl acetate and 1-hexanol: PFP theory, GTA theory, and Singh model
The measured density (ρ), speed of sound (u), viscosity (η), and refractive index (nD) for amyl acetate (1) +1-hexanol (2) mixtures at 298.15 K–318.15 K at 0.1 MPa were used to derive parameters excess molar volume (VmE) and isentropic compressibility (κsE) along with deviation in viscosity (Δη), speed of sound (Δu), and refractive index (ΔnD). The VmE, Δη, and κsE were interpreted using Prigogine-Flory-Patterson (PFP) theory, Graph theoretical approach (GTA), and Singh model and interpreted in terms of intermolecular interactions. The VmE, Δη, and κsE tend to increase, while Δu and ΔnD generally decrease with increasing temperature.
