A Comprehensive Survey of DistributedOptimization and Multi-Agent Approaches inModern Supply Chain Management

This review surveys recent advances in distributed optimization and multi-agent systems for supply chain management, with an emphasis on asynchronous and decentralized methods. We synthesize research from mathematics, operations research, economics, and computer science, highlighting key algorithmic contributions, convergence guarantees, and practical applications. The survey covers both synchronous and asynchronous paradigms, focusing on robustness to communication delays, scalability, and network heterogeneity. A comparative table summarizes the surveyed works, and we discuss open challenges and future research directions.
