<b>Estimate the economic cost of achieving WASH-related SDGs targets in Punjab</b>

In 2015, Pakistan adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a national agenda to frame its development plans and socio-economic policies for the next 15 years to achieve the SDGs. To comprehend this vision; significant resources are dedicated both at the national and provincial levels. This paper assesses the financial requirements and gaps to achieve the targets of WASH-related SDGs targets in Punjab. The study first reviews the public spending trends in water and sanitation in the last couple of years by the Government of Punjab and then estimates the future financial requirements to meet the targets of WASH by 2030. Linear Regression Analysis (LRA) is used to forecast the financial requirements and based on these estimations financial gap has been computed. This study provides discreet estimates to achieve the WASH SDGs in Punjab and gives policy recommendations to improve the financial governance mechanisms.
