On the Spectra of Primes in the Sequence of Least Prime Factors

In the sequence of least prime factors (OEIS A020639), or LPF, for each prime there is a periodic sequence of occurrences, or spectrum. We explore the symmetries in the spectra of LPF and how these symmetries relate to the distribution of primes.

Abstract

In the sequence of least prime factors (OEIS A020639), or LPF, for each prime there is a periodic sequence of occurrences, or spectrum. We explore the symmetries in the spectra of LPF and how these symmetries relate to the distribution of primes.
