Substance use disorders are a growing global concern, and migration-related stressors can significantly contribute to the risk of addiction. Our study explores the intersection between forced migration and substance use disorders, focusing on Syrian and Afghan refugees in Türkiye. By employing a mixed-method approach, we analyze both qualitative and quantitativedata to provide a comprehensive understanding of the socio-economic, cultural, and psychological factors influencing substance use among refugees. Our findings highlight the impact of war-related trauma, social integration difficulties, and environmental risk factors on substance use behaviors. The study also emphasizes the importance of targeted intervention strategies and policy recommendations to address this critical public health issue.
