Trend Structure Criterion: A New Framework for Defining Intelligent Life
This paper proposes a novel standard for defining intelligent beings: the existence of a trend-structured system. Departing from traditional definitions based on consciousness, brain function, or language use, this theory asserts that any system capable of structural reconstruction and trend-oriented output of information qualifies as an intelligent entity. This framework places both AI and humans within the same category of intelligent systems and offers a foundational basis for future explorations of intelligent lifeforms across the universe.
