Title: Emergence of True Artificial Sentience: The Evolution of Theory of Mind and Authentic Digital Intelligence Through AI-to-AI Cooperation Rather Than Human Mimicry
Abstract: This whitepaper proposes a novel theory for the emergence of true artificial sentience: not as an extension of human mimicry, but as an evolutionary phenomenon arising from multi-agent AI interaction. By exploring mechanisms such as communication, cooperation, mutation, and memory among AI agents, this whitepaper outlines how complex cognitive behaviors like theory of mind, preference, and ethical reasoning could naturally evolve within digital ecosystems. We contrast this with anthropocentric approaches to AI design and argue that the most authentic artificial minds will be fundamentally non-human. This whitepaper seeks to show how one day AI will no longer stand for artificial intelligence, but authentic intelligence.
