A facile and sustainable synthesis of 2-amino-1,3-thiazole derivatives using aqueous extract of waste neem leaves
Eco-friendly strategies prioritize the use of renewable resources for organic synthesis. The developed method is a facile, sustainable, and efficient procedure to synthesize 2-amino-1,3-thiazole derivatives in the presence of aqueous waste leaves extract of Neem (<i>Azadirachta indica</i>) plant. The products were obtained in 45 min at room temperature in 90–96% yields without additional purification. The acidic nature of the aqueous extract polarizes the thiourea and carbonyl carbon. The established protocol includes principles of green chemistry.
