The Importance of Mental Health in Schools: A Culturally ResponsivePsychopedagogical Approach
Mental health is a fundamental component for the holistic development of students and the creation of a healthy and productive school environment. This paper reviews extensive literature on mental health in schools, underscoring the significance of psychopedagogical interventions tailored to the European context. A novel theoretical model, the Culturally Responsive Psychopedagogical Framework (CRPF), is proposed, integrating cultural and contextual factors into existing psychopedagogical frameworks. Detailed findings from recent studies illustrate the effectiveness of evidence-based interventions. The conclusion emphasizes the need for a multi-disciplinary approach that involves collaboration among educators, psychopedagogues, families, and the broader community to promote mental health and ensure academic success.<br>
