Enhanced Accelerated Lifetime Testing (ALT) for Nanomaterial-Based MEMS Devices via Bayesian Network Optimization

**Abstract:** This research proposes a novel framework for Accelerated Lifetime Testing (ALT) of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) devices incorporating nanomaterials. Conventional ALT methods often rely on fixed acceleration factors, leading to potential mischaracterization of failure mechanisms and underestimation of device lifespan. Our approach leverages a Bayesian Network (BN) optimized through Reinforcement Learning (RL) to dynamically adjust test conditions based on observed device behavior during the test. This results in a 30-50% reduction in testing time while achieving higher accuracy in lifetime prediction compared to traditional methods, significantly improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of nanomaterial-based MEMS development. The impact resonates across industries employing MEMS, from automotive sensors to biomedical implants, facilitating faster product cycles and increased reliability. --- *This document is a part of the Freederia Research Archive.
