Dataset and R code for Shrubs grow better when they are functionally more conservative and more distinct from their tree neighborhoods

In a large subtropical biodiversity experiment manipulating tree and shrub species richness, we inventoried 4,411 shrubs and their surrounding trees. We analized how the neighbor tree species richness, density, functional diversity, and the EcM tree proportion affacts the shrub growth, and how the trait difference bwtween shrub and neighbor trees influence shrub growth.
