This report presents a bibliometric review of the UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Hub, a dynamic and multidisciplinary programme established during the COVID-19 pandemic. The TAS Hub, led by the University of Southampton in partnership with the University of Nottingham and King’s College London, has grown into a robust ecosystem uniting over 600 researchers and more than 150 industry partners. The mission of the Hub is to develop autonomous systems that are both technically excellent and socially beneficial. This goal has been pursued through an agile and responsive research programme tackling emerging challenges, including pandemic response, defence, security, and climate change. This review evaluates the Hub’s contributions across multiple dimensions, including its expansive network of research projects, international collaborations, and strategic policy engagements. Emphasising inclusivity and multidisciplinary approaches, the TAS Hub has fostered a research environment that bridges technology with social, ethical, and regulatory considerations. This bibliometric analysis aims to provide insights into the impact and legacy of the TAS Hub, summarising key outcomes and highlighting the programme’s role in shaping future directions for autonomous systems research and innovation.
