Enhanced Radiation Hardening through Adaptive Multi-Layered Metamaterial Shielding (선외 우주 방사선 측정기)
**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel approach to radiation hardening in space-based radiation detectors, specifically targeting the harsh radiation environment experienced by detectors deployed *outside* spacecraft (선외 우주 방사선 측정기). Our framework utilizes adaptive, multi-layered metamaterial shielding in conjunction with a self-optimizing control system leveraging stochastic gradient descent (SGD) to dynamically adjust shielding properties in response to real-time radiation flux variations. This approach anticipates and mitigates signal degradation due to both discrete events (SEEs) and accumulated dose, achieving a 10x improvement in detector lifespan and data fidelity compared to traditional shielding methods while reducing overall system weight. --- *This document is a part of the Freederia Research Archive.
