Indexing is essentially the transformation of the content of information resources into subjects that make the resources accessible. These subjects can be selected and entered into the index from either natural language or controlled vocabulary. One type of controlled vocabulary is a thesaurus, which is developed in collaboration with subject matter information specialists and aims to provide documented terminology for controlling subject keywords in the storage and retrieval of information. The book "The Process of Thesaurus Development" is an effort to demonstrate the process of creating and updating a thesaurus based on international standards, covering topics such as definitions, objectives and necessities, standards, design and development stages, relationships, terminology, and its management and updating, with an emphasis on multilingual thesauri.</p>
