The Hoax Digital Forensics on Application X Using NIST Method.pdf
The spread of false information is becoming a serious problem in the ever-evolving internet age. This can damage the reputation of people and organizations. Using the method of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) this study aims to find and analyze digital traces of hoax spreaders. The NIST method consists of four main stages: data collection, examination, analysis, and reporting. The app called x is a social media platform that is often used to spread untrue information. Various digital forensics tools, such as BrowsingHistoryView which tracks the search history of perpetrators, Image?CacheViewer which recovers downloaded images, and Browser?DownloadsView which finds downloaded files, are used to collect data. The Autopsy also examines storage devices such as flash drives that were found to be empty but recovered successfully.
