Comprehensive assessment of the load-bearing capacity of a reinforced concrete frame viaduct. Update of model parameters based on experimental studies

The paper describes a relatively simple method for updating model parameters based on acceptance load tests. During repeated load tests conducted after 12 years of operation, a model was created, and its parameters, including concrete tensile strength and horizontal stiffness of the supports, were updated based on acceptance tests. A parametric analysis was performed, considering nonlinear calculations with the possibility of cracking in the reinforced concrete. Simulated values of deflections total, elastic, and permanent were recorded. Based on these, the model parameters were selected. The determined parameters were used in the design of the test load in 2023, and the tests were carried out. A good agreement between theoretical and experimental results was achieved, at an average level of 90.4%
