Vertical Reduction and the Phase-Lock Activation Protocol
CODES Framework Abstract This paper presents a deterministic model of lawful emergence, introducing vertical reduction—the collapse of complex phenomena into irreducible lawful generators (prime-phase anchors with chirality gating) capable of drift-free re-expansion. The Phase-Lock Activation Protocol implements this model through a multi-stage legality chain: FIELDCAST → CHORDLOCK → PAS evaluation → ΔPAS_zeta drift constraint → chirality enforcement → prime-indexed temporal gating → lawful emission. Unlike stochastic inference systems, this framework enforces external legality checks at every stage, ensuring outputs are auditably reproducible and resistant to drift. Applications span symbolic computation (RIC-Core), biological coherence remediation (VESSELSEED), and ecological system modeling, establishing a cross-domain substrate law for emergence.
