A guide to selecting high-performing antibodies for GALC (UniProt ID: P54803) for use in western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence

This report presents comparative antibody characterization data, serving as a guide to select high-performing antibodies against the galactosylceramidase protein encoded by the GALC gene, in western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence, using a knockdown cell line as an isogenic control. This research was partly funded by the G-Can (GBA1-Canada) initiative, an open-science collaboration dedicated to advancing research on Parkinson's disease associated with GBA1 mutations. This work was also supported by the CQDM (by a grant from the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec)
