EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF EXTRACT OBTAINED FROM CALIFORNIA EARTHWORM ON IMMUNODEFICIENCY CONDITIONS IN HUMANS

This study investigates the therapeutic potential of extracts derived from the California earthworm (Eisenia fetida) in addressing immunodeficiency conditions in humans. Immunodeficiency remains a significant global health issue, often leading to increased susceptibility to infections and decreased quality of life. Recent research has highlighted the bioactive properties of natural substances, including those obtained from earthworms, which are rich in enzymes, peptides, and other biologically active compounds. In this context, the extract from Eisenia fetida was evaluated for its immunomodulatory effects. Experimental data suggest that the extract may enhance immune responses by stimulating key immune cells and modulating cytokine production. The findings indicate the potential for earthworm-based biologics to serve as complementary treatments for immune-compromised patients. Further clinical studies are recommended to validate the efficacy and safety of such extracts in medical practice.

Abstract

The findings indicate the potential for earthworm-based biologics to serve as complementary treatments for immune-compromised patients. Further clinical studies are recommended to validate the efficacy and safety of such extracts in medical practice.
