Relationship Between Self Esteem and Social Support Towards Resilience in Women Victims of Dating Violence
Dating violence is an issue that can adversely affect the mental health of female victims. Resilience plays a crucial role in helping these victims recover and adapt to their lives in a positive way. This research aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and social support with resilience among women who have experienced dating violence. The study population consisted of women who were victims of dating violence. Quota Sampling was applied, following the Krejcie table, resulting in a sample size of 350 participants. A quantitative approach was used, and data were collected through validated and reliable scales. The instruments included scales measuring resilience, self-esteem, and social support. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the data. Findings revealed a significant correlation between self-esteem and social support with resilience in women affected by dating violence. This suggests that women with adequate self-esteem and support from friends tend to demonstrate higher levels of resilience. Additionally, the study found a positive and meaningful relationship between self-esteem and resilience, indicating that women with higher self-esteem generally possess greater resilience. Similarly, there was a positive and significant association between social support and resilience, showing that women who receive strong social support also exhibit higher resilience.
