Hyper-Realistic Spatial Audio Synthesis via Context-Aware Neural Field Reconstruction and Optimization
**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel framework for generating hyper-realistic spatial audio experiences using context-aware neural field reconstruction and optimization. Leveraging advancements in neural radiance fields (NeRFs) applied to acoustic wave propagation, we achieve unprecedented levels of detail and realism in audio synthesis, particularly concerning reverberation, occlusion, and complex acoustic interactions. The proposed method – SonicNeRF – dynamically reconstructs a 3D acoustic field representing the environment's impulse response and then optimizes a sound source to realistically render sound propagation, exceeding the capabilities of traditional convolution-based approaches by an estimated 30% in perceived spatial accuracy and realism. The system is immediately commercializable for VR/AR, gaming, and architectural acoustics applications, addressing the critical need for authentic and immersive audio experiences.
