WP6 D6.6 Impact Assessment Report

This deliverable, which is the second of two iterations, aims to interpret piloting experiment results for the second pilot iteration and assess what is the impact of GREENGAGE on different stakeholders including citizens (called participants), and environment, city administrations or policymakers (called managers). Therefore, this deliverable complements Task 6.3 and Task 6.1 (D6.1) by assessing effectiveness of the GREENGAGE CO solution and approach in the pilots (i.e., Bristol, Copenhagen, Gerace, North Brabant and Turano). A set of overall impacts, dimensions and criteria of GREENGAGE that need to be assessed based on their relevance for the perspective of the different stakeholders are identified based on the prior WP6 work when the ACTION framework (https://actionproject.eu/) was chosen. Each criterion has been evaluated either quantitatively or qualitatively through questionnaires delivered to Citizen Observatory (CO) participants and managers. The approach of embracing the impact assessment methodology from ACTION project was thoroughly discussed among WP6 partners; the solution aims to close the gap between the potential and actual impacts of citizen science, ensuring that GREENGAGE not only meets scientific goals but also addresses the real-world needs and concerns of the participants and coordinators of the Citizen Observatories. This document is the second iteration of the previous “D6.5 – Impact Assessment Report 1”.
