Loan Eligibility Prediction System Using Machine Learning

By reliably predicting an applicant's loan eligibility, the machine learning-based Loan Eligibility Prediction System seeks to automate and expedite the loan approval process. Conventional loan approval procedures are frequently laborious and prone to human mistake. This method uses machine learning algorithms to assess a number of variables, including loan amount, credit history, employment status, income, and other financial criteria, in order to establish eligibility. A dataset comprising past loan applications and their results is used to train the system. Predictive models are constructed using algorithms such as Support Vector Machines, Random Forest, Decision Trees, and Logistic Regression. The model chosen for deployment is the one with the best accuracy. By offering prompt and accurate forecasts, the main objective is to lessen the workload for loan officers and enhance decision-making. By reducing human bias, this project not only improves the loan approval process's efficiency but also guarantees more equitable and consistent outcomes. Financial institutions stand to gain a great deal from the deployment of this technology since it will save time, lower operating expenses, and increase client satisfaction.
