Torsional Accessibility and Perceptual Difference: A PQF Analysis of the Stuff–Things Bifurcation
Description Torsional Accessibility and Perceptual Difference: A PQF Analysis of the Stuff–Things Bifurcation develops the original Possibilistic–Quasi–Filtration (PQF) model in the context of recent neuroscientific findings on distinct processing trajectories for amorphous materials (“stuff”) and rigid objects (“things”) in the human brain. Unlike representational or semantic models, PQF conceives perception as the torsional filtration of accessibility — a process of recursio intensitatis, in which difference does not vanish but circulates within the local topology of intensity. The text includes: a formal definition of δ∗ filtration operators for “stuff” and “things”, geometric construction of the separatrix as a bifurcational incompatibility zone, introduction of the Symbolon field to detect irreversible gradient asymmetries, sheaf–theoretic stratification as a model of localized perceptual fields, PQF definitions of space–time (chronotopography, filtrational entropy), extensions to aesthetics, AI cognitive architectures, algebraic topology, and biological individuation. The work is a complete, operational preprint — both grounded in empirical research and fully consistent with the PQF ontology of filtration, moving beyond the categories of representation and relation. Keywords Possibilistic–Quasi–Filtration, PQF, torsional accessibility, separatrix, Symbolon, haecceity, recursio intensitatis, filtrational entropy, sheaf–theoretic perception, chronotopography, perceptual individuation, topological torsion, non-representational ontology, algebraic topology, Simondon, Ruyer, Deleuze.
