Recursive Approximations of Perfect Numbers via Nested Roots

We investigate an alternative, recursive formulation of even perfect numbers derived from the classical Mersenne prime expression. This recursive definition utilizes nested square roots to approximate the perfect number progressively, offering an information-theoretic interpretation of compression and expansion across bit-encoded structures. We explore this approximation both algebraically and in its binary representation.

Abstract

We investigate an alternative, recursive formulation of even perfect numbers derived from the classical Mersenne prime expression. This recursive definition utilizes nested square roots to approximate the perfect number progressively, offering an information-theoretic interpretation of compression and expansion across bit-encoded structures. We explore this approximation both algebraically and in its binary representation.
