The Diversity–Performance Nexus: A Case Study of Gender and Workforce Structure in Indian Banking
This study investigates the relationship between Gender-Work force diversities and operational efficiency of State Bank of India (SBI). Performance indicators such as Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Profit per Employee are analysed over a period of 2016-2024. The impact was observed through Multiple Regression Analysis. The results found that there is a joint impact of Gender-Workforce diversity on financial performance of SBI. However gender diversity showed a negative association and workforce composition had a positive impact. This study contributes to the Diversity-Performance nexus in Indian banks.
