ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ITS IMPACT ON NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

The rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is unfolding on a global scale, with all sectors of security becoming involved to varying degrees. At the same time, the special attention given to this emerging and disruptive technology by major powers, as well as by other states, calls first and foremost, for an analysis of its impact on both national and international security. Therefore, this article aims to identify and highlight the development context, the objectives pursued by certain international actors, and its effects on various domains (social, political, military, and cyber). In this regard, the following research questions are formulated: Why is AI technology important for national and international security? What are the advantages of using AI? What vulnerabilities, threats, and risks arise throughout the AI life cycle? What is the vision of certain actors on the international stage regarding the use of artificial intelligence?
