Temporal Dynamics of Middle Eastern Power: Insights from the 2T2M Framework
Abstract Understanding Middle Eastern conflicts requires a lens that captures the interplay of historical legacies, present realities, and projected futures across multiple political, social, and military layers. The Triple Time Track Multi-Layer Multiple Round (2T2M) framework, a sub-framework of Ownviewism, provides such a lens, enabling analysts and policymakers to map overlapping timelines, identify persistent cycles of hostility, and recognize strategic opportunities for peace. Using the June 12-day Iran–Israel War as a case study, this paper demonstrates how 2T2M illuminates the multi-layered dynamics of regional power, the temporal persistence of conflict, and avenues for designing interventions that integrate past, present, and future considerations.
